Photoshoot today!!

Well today Ethan & I had his first photoshoot. Mommy decided to take pictures of him because I dont really want him going to the mall, so we mad our own mini photoshoot today. It was fun, we took diaper pictures, and pcitures with 2 different outfits on, he was a good model for mommy. ;o) Mama Shauna had to work graveyard today which makes me and Ethan sad cause mommy isnt here with us. Im waiting for him to wake up from his nap so he can eat before we both go to sleep. We had a pretty good day today, went to lunch with Auntie Angela & Cousin Taylor and then just hung out around the house. I love being a stay at home mommy for now. It is so much fun minus the sleepless nights haha. Grandma & Grandpa are coming over to see him tomorrow, hes excited lol. I will share one photo from his photoshoot but we are sending out a surprise to many people so I dont want to share to much! hehe We love you all good night xoxoxo

Today was better...

Grandma came over to feed him and I was well rested thank goodness. He let me go to sleep at 1000pm lastnight which was awesome, then we woke up about 100am today with getting up like 5x throughout the night. I was able to clean my entire house and get some laundry done, while he was visiting with gradma and then auntie Angela came over and spent time with him as well. I love when family comes over its nice to get a break and I love spending time with them. We didnt leave the house today because its hard leaving with him, but so far he has been to Doctor offices, Red Lobster, Denny's, Auntie & Uncle's house, and Grandma & Grandpa's house, so he's seen most of Victorville, haha. Well Im going to go watch CSI, and we are going to try to take pictures tomorrow, we will see how that goes. Tired, Tired ;o(

Well my little man is sleeping after he woke me up because I thought he was hungry and now hes sleeping again and didnt want to eat yet. Im way pooped out today, just overall tired. I think its because I was running around the last 2 days with him and didnt realize how draining it is. He didnt sleep to great last night he was fussy so thats probably while Im sleepy today. I think Im going to start trying to get him on a schedule of some sort for night time if that is possible. Like maybe a bath at 8pm then laying down at 830pm they say if you start early they learn. Lets hope hes a quick learner lol. It will take me a couple hrs to wake up then Ill be ok all day and night, I just woke up and thought wow Im tired. Guess thats all part of being a mommy! hehe. I love my little man Im off to try to get a bite to eat before he waked up.

Dr appt update ;o)

Well our little man did so well at his doctor visit yesterday as well as his eye visit today. He weighed 5lbs 4oz and is 17 1/4 in long!!! What a change from a 1lb baby huh!! He had to have his 1st set of shots which wasnt to bad he cried alittle bit. Then the doctor stood him up on his feed, which a natural baby reflex is to try to walk and he took like 3-4 steps while Dr was holding him. He also tested some of his other reflexes, and he did awesome!!! He has a small hernia on his belly button but said that it will go away before he is 5 or 6 yrs old, his pee pee is ok to get circumsized so we are doing that on Mrch 13th EEEEKKKK poor guys. He said that when Ethan smiles at us he really is smiling sometimes its not all gas, AHHH. He also said it was good that he was holding his head up and that we still need to keep him away from alot of ppl but more visitors are ok as long as they are not sick and wash up REALLY good, so we will slowly start letting ppl meet him, no kids yet though because they have more germs than we do sorry. But overall Dr said he is doing really good for his age and will be seen again at his 4month check up, so he has an appt on March 13th to get his RSV shot and circumsize and then and appt on April 23rd to get his next set of shots.

Eye Doctor Update: They had to do the worse thing I have ever seen in my life, the prop his eye open with a clamp and they shine a bright light in there and poke around at his eye with this small ball like thing. It was horrible he was crying and mommy wanted to cry as well as beat the Nurse and Doctors ass because they were hurting my precious boy...ok anyway the update, Dr said his nerves are quiet yet completely done growing but they are looking good. He is doing good for his age, his eyes my wander still a bit and go cross-eyed sometimes but he will grow out of it. He goes in again in July to see if his eyes are all grown. He may have to have glasses for far away seeing but we dont know forsure Dr said things may change by July on his next visit and he may never need glasses which is good, but if he does need them we will get cute ones hehe.

So overall he had 2 great appts and I think he did an awesome job, what a big boy he is becoming! Mommy loves you Ethan!!!!

I cant wait

Well Im sitting here its 924am and our Dr appt isnt til 130pm. Im so anxious and cant wait to go. It will be our 1st outing as a family as well as his 1st Dr appt. He is sleeping right now, he woke up to eat very little then decided he wanted to go back to sleep. We are leaving the house at 100pm so I will start getting us both ready around 1030am cause little man likes to make me stop alot and I dont want to be late to our appt. I will be taking pictures of him today...I do that everyday hehehe. He was a pretty good man last night however Mama Shauna ended up on the couch and Brownie, our beagle, ended up in the closet on a blanket. No one wanted to sleep with Ethan and I. ;o( actually Mama Shauna had to get up at 645am so she wanted the couch. Well I better go so I can pluck my eyebrows and start getting things together....Ill be back later today ;o)

Its already been a week!!

OMG it has already been a week since we brought home our little man. He is growing so fast and today I looked at him and was like oh hes getting bigger. (tear) I love being home, and I love that our family has gotten so much closer, we usually dont go a day without seeing each other and its just great! I love having the company as well since Im always in the house. Tomorrow is the big day! His 1st doctor appt, I cant wait I hope he gains weight and we will ask all the questions we are dying to know the answer too. I dont think I would ever take back having my little man, I love my life so much more now and my life was great before, so Im on like cloud 9 now. I will let everyone know how the Dr goes tomorrow when I get home.

P.S. Ive also been thinking alot about Evan, and miss him very much. I begin to think what would I be doing if I had 2 little men running me around all day. would they sleep at the same time, eat the same amount, melt my heart so much as Ethan does. I wish he was here with me and miss him oh so much! I looked at Ethan the other night and started crying because he was reminding me of his brother. I know hes in a better place, Mommy has just been missing him lately. I love you Evan SO SO MUCH!!!!

The things babies do....

Yesterday was a day like any other day with Mr. Ethan. I love everyday with him. We were having family time last night with Shauna, Me & Ethan and Mike, Angela & Taylor. We were playing Rock Band and Angela was feeding Ethan, then decided to change his diaper. Next thing we knew we heard a scream, we all went running. He was still pooping as she changed his diaper. LOL then we were all in there, and he shot his poop across his changing table, then pee'd on Auntie Angela. OMG LOL it was hilarious!!! I didnt think he could shoot his poopie across the room but he did. It was a moment to remember. HAHAHA....

Last night was a good night Ethan slept 4hrs straight for mommies which means Im feeling more refreshed today. We are just hanging out and watching movies tonight, and Mommy Shauna has to work tonight ;o( were not happy about that but its ok. I love him so much and my little family!!!!

I love being a MOMMY!!!

Well we've had a couple days to get settles and to try to get into a schedule or routine and I will say its a chore but we are loving it. He is such an amazing baby, I love him so much!! He is still sticking to his 3hr schedule which is awesome because for the most part we get to sleep every 3 hrs with him at night. He's still eating 2oz at a time but I think hes about ready for more. He got his 1st bath yesterday and it went well I think he likes his new bath his mommies bought for him. I am staying off work til March 17th so I am trying to live it up. I dont even want to think about not being with him all day. Grandma Lorrie & Auntie Angela learned how to feed him today and they did awesome. He is just my little pride and joy and I have no idea what I would do without him. He's even given us poopie diapers and throw-up and I love it all HAHA. Im going to go cuddle with Shauna and Ethan now, so I will post again in a couple days. I love my little family!!! I love being a mommy!!!!!

What a day!!! ;o)

Today has been the best day in my entire life! Ethan is home with us, and we are loving it. Family came over and Auntie Angela got to hold him for the 1st time ever. It was so precious! I love him to death and its just so wonderful that he is home with us. His final weigh in was 4lbs 7oz and we will go to the Dr. next monday for a check up to make sure that hes doing good. He is just the most amazing little man in the world!!! Not sure how much sleep me and Shauna will be doing because we are constantly checking to see if he is breathing, lol I know were bad. Were trying to keep him on the same schedule so we will see how that works. He eats every 3 hrs and eats about 2oz per feeding. Brownie met her brother and she doesnt seem to care much about him, she leaves him alone. Well Im going to go cuddle with my wife and my son! I love them both so much!!!!!

ETHAN'S COMING HOME TODAY!!! 2-17-08

yep thats right my little man is coming home today!! Im so excited and we are so nervous!! He is 4lbs 7oz which is 2013grams woooohooooo ill keep everyone posted and we will take lots of coming home pics.

ETHAN'S COMING HOME!!!!!

Well I have the most wonderful news in the world today. We spoke with Ethan's Dr and asked when he thought Ethan would be coming home and would it be sometime close to March. Well he said "March, more like SUNDAY!!" Ethan is 1983 grams as of tonight and Dr said once he gets to 2000 grams he is coming home. He usually gains an ounce a night which is 28 grams which means if he gains 17 grams tomorrow night he will be coming home on SUNDAY! My birthday!! What an amazing birthday gift that would be!!! Now he said it will be Tuesday at the latest because he will gain the weight by then, sometime he likes to have a small weight gain day and he will only gain like 2-5grams then the next day it will be like 30+ grams so it all depends. I am SOOOO excited and SOOOO nervous. Today he only had to brady's(his heart rate drops) while he ate and Dr didnt seem to worry to much about them. He said we can tell when he is going to do it so he will be just fine being home. HES COMING HOME IN LESS THAN 3 DAYS!!!!! OMG!!!! ok can you tell im excited. I cant wait. I am calling tomorrow at 830pm to see how much he gained. Now you all will have to wait in suspense because I will be at shanua's parents 30th anniversay party and celebrating my b-day until 200am when the club closes. So I will post an update on sunday! Im SO super excited. I cant wait.

P.s. just a little FYI for all of you that want to see him....we have to wait to let him have many visitors so we are limiting to only family coming over until he gets his 1st set of shots so we will not be letting him meet all of our great friends until hes probably home for a month or so. Per Dr's orders...I know you are all so anxious and Im sorry. I will let everyone know when it is ok. Thank you bunches for understanding in advance. I would die if he got sick and ended up in the hospital again. Love you all!!

My little man is growing!!

Ethan is now 4lbs 2.8oz! and is 16 1/2 in long! He is doing soooo good. He is able to keep a steddy temperature in his open crib which is something that they worry about and he has gained weight the last 2 nights since he has been in his open crib which means that he is able to hold his own temp without loosing to many calories! He is still having bradys here and there while he eats which is discouraging but they said he will grow out of it and it is nothing to worry about. We are looking at about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks before he will come home. Im so happy he is doing so awesome! I love him to pieces. Mommy love you both boys!!

He's a BIG boy now!!!

Ethan has reached 4lbs!! WOOHOOO. He is 4lbs 0.4oz to be exact and he is now in a big boy crib. They whined him down in his isolette today and he is in a big boy crib next to his girlfriend Emma, who is also in a big girl crib. He is 1826 grams he gained almost an ounce from last night. They still havent measured him yet, they will do that tomorrow. He is eating about 2oz per feeding. He doesnt have any A's and B's during the day and sometimes he has them at night but not at every feeding. He needs to gain another 8-10oz and have no A's and B's at all and then he will be home!! Couple weeks to go, probably 3 or so! Im so excited and happy. I cant wait to see him tomorrow.!! Ill take some more pictures and post them. Good night

Sick, Sick, Sick ;o(

Well I have managed to get myself sick finally being around all these germs for so long have caught up with me. Shauna is very sick and is taking medication along with cough syrup, she just started taking it yesterday so it will be a couple days before she will be up and ready to go see Ethan again. He will look so different when she sees him, its already been 3 days since she has seen him. and NOW my throat hurts, my head is stuffy, and Im getting sick. I started taking dayquil last night and have continued to take it til Im better and I took a vacation day from work so I can rest all day and hopefully wake up feeling refreshed. I wont be able to go see my prince today which makes me VERY SAD!!! Hes getting so big and has such a little personality I feel horrible not being able to go see him. I called on him today already and hes doing really well, he ate 2oz on his last feeding. Im sure I will call many more times today since I cant see him. Im off to a bath to relax til Shauna gets home from school!!

Quick Update before bed

Ethan is now 3lbs 15.7 oz. which is 1805 grams!! He should be moving up to an open crib in the next 2 days now that he has hit that 1800 marker. He should be 4lbs tomorrow as long as he doesnt loose weight. He will get measured tonight as well so I will check on that tomorrow. He getting to be such a big boy. Still not desats or bradys while he eats. Im off to bed I think I am getting sick and Mommy Shauna already is sick. We both cant get sick then who will see my precious boy! We love you so much little man!!!

Ethan Update 02/09/08

Ethan is getting so big. He is now 3lbs 13.8oz and will be measured tomorrow to see if he has grown anymore inches wise. He is such a big boy. He has been doing good with his feedings and is getting closer and closer to coming home. He is 1753grams, he needs to be 1800grams to go into an open crib then he can come home at 2000 grams. Im so excited I cant wait to have him home with me. I am getting so overly tired of going to the hospital everyday and Im becoming exhausted because all I do is go go go!! Geez can i just stay at home and cuddle with my little man. I love him so much. Im off to bed now. He will be 35weeks gestation on monday 2-11-08 and will be 8wks old on 2-13-08. I love my little man!!!

UPDATE:

He is now 3lbs 12.4oz and he hasnt had any brady's or desat's all day or all night. Not even for me which is awesome it means hes learning more and more. He is 1710grams which means he has another 90grams befoe going into an open crib and out of his isolette. which is 3 oz and a little more. I love him to pieces I cant wait til he comes home!!!! LOVE U little man!!

Ethan Update 02/05/08

Well, he just keeps growing and growing. hehe He is now 3lbs 10.1 oz as of last night and was still 16 1/4 in long. He has been doing so much better as far as his feedings go as well. He doesnt brady and desat as much and he's learning to breathe more while he is eating and taking breaks on his own inbetween. He will probably be in an open crib in about a week and half, I hope. I miss him so much when I leave him, He is staying awake longer and I lay him on my chest and we bond, I love it so much. He looks at us when we talk to him. He is just the best baby in the world!!!! I'm off to go lay down getting tired between the hospital and work all week long. Its only tues night and I feel so exhausted, but I miss him to much if I dont go see him. I love you little man!!!

Ethan Update 02/02/08

My baby boy is gettin so big. He is now 3lbs 8.4oz as of last night. I got to try to breastfeed him for the 1st time last night as well. He sucked for a few seconds but ended up playing around with it instead of eating, so we switched to the bottle. They said it will be a couple trys before he will completely learn how to eat from it. He has been eating so much usually 40ml per feeding. I think thats why he is gaining weight so good. Last night while he was eating he brady'd real bad and desat'd down to like 40% satuation, which is bad he turned really blue and they had to get his oxygen and put it on him for like 2-3min then he was fine. They said that he will do that preiodically until he completely learns to eat and breathe at the same time. He is gettin better though, he paces himself and stopped to breathe all by himself sometimes and other times we have to take the bottle out of his mouth to make him breathe a second. I love him so much hes getting to be sooo big.
There is another baby in the NICU that is about the same size as him and her name is Emma. Well, Emma's mommy made them both shirts that says I heart Ethan & I heart Emma. Its so cute here is a picture but you cant see it that well. Mommy loves you Ethan & Evan!!!
