March for Babies!!

March of Dimes is something that is very near and dear to us because of Ethan being premature and how much they donate to the hospitals for preemie babies. Every year March of Dimes does a walk called March for Babies where different corporations, and family teams come together to gather donations and to do a walk within the community. This year was the very first year we participated because I wanted to wait until Ethan was old enough to understand a little bit but also so he would be able to handle the all day events. I created our Team which was named Leader of the Pack because that's what Ethan's NICU Dr. use to call him however next year I think we'll stick with Team Williams but I don't know yet. We set our goal to $50, we reached that in no time, so I increased it to $100. We missed our mark by $5 but was still SOOOOO very grateful for everyone that was able to donate to such a great cause. Next year and the years to follow I plan to increase my goal a little so we can contribute more and more each year. The walk started at 8:30 am where myself, Shauna, Ethan, Angela & Taylor, as well as Taylor's little brother Gage all walked and completed the 2 mile marker, we probably would have gone longer but we wanted to take it easy our first go around. I made T-shirts for us and Angela made a T-shirt for herself to show our support for preemies like Bubba & Evan. It was amazing the amount of people that show up for such a great cause in the High Desert. After the walk Ethan got to play a few carnival games as well as they catered free food to all that participated which included fruit, bagels, donuts, hot dogs, chips, cake, water, soda & Starbucks. Ethan enjoyed the food, mommies passed because we are eating healthy. They also let Doves go at the beginning ceremony in remembrance of all of our lost angels that didn't quite make it whether they were stillborn, miscarried, or lost after birth :'( Overall I definitely enjoyed myself and we will continue to do the March for Babies for many more years to come!!!

Weight Loss.....

OK so 3 weeks ago, Shauna & I decided we were going to get healthy and start back on our weight loss program and this time doing it the right way!! I had gained almost all of my weight lost from a year ago and Shauna grew inches but not so much weight, therefore we realized it was time for a healthy change. We talked to Shauna's sister and she set up a meal plan for us here's a quick breakdown: Breakfast- egg whites, toast with peanut butter, or protein shake Snack- celery with peanut butter, hard boiled egg, almonds, or fruit Lunch- salad, chicken, fish, veggies Snack- same as other snack but mix it up a bit, yogurt, etc. Dinner- fish, chicken, veggies, etc. Last Snack- Protein shake At first we thought this diet thing was going to be hell and don't get me wrong at times we still crave all the bad stuff we wish we could have, but seeing some kind of results helps with those cravings and I do make wheat pasta one day a week or something that is a tad bit badder for us than what we eat everyday. The first week was awesome and we lost quite a bit of weight, I'm going to talk mainly about my own weight from here on out, but Shauna is still doing amazing. So back to the loss.......after week 1 I lost 10 lbs approximately, then week 22 I hit a wall and only lost 1 lb and mother nature struck so I'm sure she had something to do with it, now we are into week 3 and Ive lost 2 lbs so far and its Wednesday, I weigh in every Sunday in the morning so I get the same accurate reading. I look forward to increasing my exercises and continue on the eating healthy plan until I loose all the weight that I need to loose, not just for myself but to also be able to do extra fun things with Ethan and not feel like an elephant. So on to my GOALS!!!! 1. BIG NUMBER 1 GOAL!!!- loose a total of 55 lbs and I'm shooting for a final weigh in on New Year's Eve so I have 8 months total to accomplish this 2. first to start hit below 200 and at 199lbs- I'm going to buy myself a massage at Massage Envy 3. then hit 190 which will be rewarded with a spa pedicure 4. then my final weight of under 180!!! I will go buy myself new clothes because I'm sure nothing will fit by then :o) I am beyond serious about this and just hope I can keep my motivation, some days are harder than others so well see but I will also take pics of progress to show the different weight losses. Hoping to be able to notice a big difference by the time I get to month number 3. SO FAR: WEEK 1- 10 POUNDS WEEK 2- 1 POUND WEEK 3- 2 POUNDS SO FAR........stay tuned for more loss!! to start off- (hard to see the belly but its there lol)

Showoff time....

Go #9!!!!

Today was Taylor, my nieces, first ever soccer game! She decided this year that she wanted to start playing sports so they enrolled her into soccer and she had her 1st practice last Tuesday and game today. She did very well for this being her first year playing. She plays center defense and occasionally goalie, she would prefer goalie but did great at center D! It was a freezing 40 degrees with the wind blowing this morning and bubba stayed in Mikes truck the majority if the game but we stuck it out watched the whole game and then went to Molly Browns for breakfast. It was a great morning besides the cold and waking up do early lol

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone!!! Mommy had fun playing the Easter Bunny again this year and even went over board hiding eggs lol Leading up to Easter we made an Easter bunny hut and colored Easter eggs. Easter morning Ethan came out and was so excited to see what the Easter bunny brought him as well as what was from mommies & from Grandma and Papa. He went thru his entire basket going thru it all to see everything he got then he was ready for his egg hunt. He got a basket and went on the hunt. He found all 41 eggs!!! Yes the Easter bunny hide 41 eggs lol After all of our morning festivities were over we got ready and headed down the hill. We all decided that since Grandma Connie was still in the hospital and sick that we all wanted to see her on Easter. So Mike, Angela, Taylor, and our fam went down to San Antonio Community Hospital and visited with Grandma Connie for a little bit took her a cute little gift and Ethan got a big basket from Auntie & Uncle, which he loved. Following our visit we all wanted to eat dinner so we went to The Fish Company inside Bass Pro Shop and enjoyed a nice family non-traditional Easter dinner. Overall we had a great Easter and even though it was different than past Easters it was still just as special and enjoyable as all the others!!
