It's beginning to look alot like Christmas......

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Ethan & I, wanted to decorate the house with Christmas decorations so we asked Babe to get the tots down for us and the decorating began. We put up the tree, decorated the mantel and the bar and made the house look like Christmas time. Ethan helped for about the first 15 minutes then decided it was time to watch Tv and eat a candy cane so mommy did most of it but just the experience alone that he will remember every year is what I love. Lets begin the countdown to Christmas 26 days.......

Happy Thanksgiving friends and family!! Today was a great day starting at like 9am with me preparing the turkey, mac & cheese, and green bean casserole. I also made banana bread before I started all the food prep. The turkey was a bit of a challenge because it was smaller than I was use to and I didn't know how it was going to cook. Everyone arrived around 12pm and we started snacking on chips and dip & veggie trays, we also put out the pumpkin bread and banana bread for snacking. Dinner began to smell yummy and we had it all prepared and ready to eat at 345pm which was good because I said by 4pm. I am alittle disappointed in the turkey as it was a bit dryer than expected but I think that's cause I cooked it to long and we turned up the temp from 325 to 340 which I know doesn't sound like much but I think it made a difference. Once we all made our plates we sat at the table and it was Angela's idea to go around the table and say what we were thankful for, lets just say this became an emotional thankfulness as we all went around and said each things tears poured from each others face with happy and sad tears depending on what we were talking about. Dinner was amazing I think everyone tried to at least get seconds of some things. Later that night Chris came over and hung out with us as well as Jeff & Melody we ate desserts and hung out watching shows. By the end of the night I was very full and ready for bed but it was a great Thanksgiving again!! ♥

 



 

Ethan's November Update

November already, wow how time had flown by. Ethan is doing great he has learned a few new things this past month and I could not be happier with him. He has learned majority of the ABC's as well as knows how to write mom, babe, papa, and bob. I have to tell him the letters sometimes but he will doodle the entire thing and it looks very good. He had a bit of what I think was the stomach flu last weekend, poor thing woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and wanted to sleep next to the toilet :( after about 3 times getting sick and just sleeping by 7am the next day he no longer was throwing up and was just very tired and lethargic. The next day he was doing much much better. He was very excited that Thanksgiving was coming and now has pasted because he knows his birthday and Christmas come after that :) crazy boy hehe he loves to rub McKenzie and give her kisses and he has spent the night at Papa's and Grandma's house as well as Auntie & Uncle's house these past few weeks. I cant believe that he will be 5 in less than a month! He's growing up to be so big!!

Thankfulness........

What I'm Thankful For!!!

Day 1:

To start I want to say that I'm thankful for life itself and for God allowing me to be as blessed as I am to wake up each day to all the many things that I truly am thankful for. Thank you God!! ♥

Day 2:
I'm thankful for my first born, Evan Michael, and even though he isn't here with me on Earth each day I know he's here with me every single day right by my side. He has given me the strength I have today and the willpower to be the mother I can be to his siblings. I truly am blessed to be able to have such an amazing guardian angel looking down on me and protecting everyone I love and care about. I love you Evan Michael! ♥

Day 3:
I'm thankful for my precious miracle boy, Ethan Glenn, he is the light in my eyes the reason I think of all things positive even when things are tough. He has such an amazing personality and the spirit he has is just full joy. I am in love with being his mommy and thank God every day for giving me such an awesome little man as my son. I can not wait to watch him grow and grow each year and become the man I know he will be. I love you so much my boy! ♥

Day 4:
I'm thankful for my soon to be princess, McKenzie Rae, even though she is not here yet I have so much joy and love for my precious princess! The thought of being a mommy again and the chance to experience a pregnancy, infant hood, and all things baby makes me so happy and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She will probably be a mini me and I so cant wait. Mommy loves you Kenzie! ♥

Day 5:
I'm thankful for my amazing caring wife, Shauna, who has been my rock through thick and thin. We have been through so much together in the last 8 1/2 years and I know there will be so many more years we will spend together. She is a great mother to our children and has a heart of gold. She listens to my needs and follows behind me with my all of my crazy ideas or feelings. I could have never asked for a better wife then what I have been given. I love her with all my heart and cant imagine life without her. I love you babe! ♥

Day 6:
I'm thankful for my fur babies, Star & Abby, they may drive me nuts at times but they truly do complete our family. If I am having a bad day Star will always brighten it and Abby loves to cuddle on my belly. I love our animals! ♥

Day 7:
I'm thankful for my father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bob & Lorrie. They have been nothing short of second parents to me and even during rough times have even been there more for me than my own parents. They have such big hearts and welcomed me into their lives from day one and now 8 years later I feel blessed to be a part of their family and happy I can call them mom and dad. Mom always listens when I am upset and I need a good cry, Dad is there to enjoy football with and make me laugh. I could not have asked for better in laws ever. I love you both! ♥

Day 8:
I'm thankful for my sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Mike & Angela. Angela treats me like her sister and is there to laugh, cry, vent, and just enjoy each others company. She has an amazing personality and cares so much for my children. She is a one of a kind aunt that embraces every moment she has with Ethan and makes them all the very best. Mike has a heart so big I think it could cover the world. He gives the best hugs and knows exactly when to give them and when to make me laugh. He has been such an amazing husband and dad to Angela & my niece and I thank him for that. I enjoy their company more than anything and we have some amazing times together full of laughter and sometimes tears :) I would want nothing more for our kids than to be with them if anything ever happened to us. I love you guys with all my heart! ♥

Day 9:
I'm thankful for my beautiful, smart niece, Taylor Rae, she is such a great kid and has grown up so much since I first met her at age 4, to think that I came into her life at the same age Ethan is now is incredible. She has such a big heart and cares for people in her life as well as the feelings of others even if she really doesn't know them. She is growing up to be a very sweet young lady and although its sad to watch her grow up I'm so happy shes growing and developing into the person she is. I think she will have a wonderful life and I cant wait to see it develop. I love you Tay! ♥

Day 10:
I'm thankful for my country hick brother, Curtis.  He lives so far away from me and I miss him like crazy but the fact that we talk a few times a week makes me feel closer to him. His wife, Stephanie, is a great mother of my niece and nephew, Emma & Conner, I wish I could see them more often. Curtis is a great dad and a great brother. I love our laughs we have and the fact that we can talk crap to each other as if were in the same room. He means the world to me and I miss him so so so much!! I love you Curtis! ♥

Day 11:
I'm thankful for my family, and even though I don't always see eye to eye with them all the time, I still love them all! I couldn't imagine anything ever happening to them. I may not get to see them that often and when I do see them its for a short amount of time but I want them to know that I love them and do truly care about them no matter how I may act or what I may say sometimes. I love you all! ♥

Day 12:
I'm thankful for the few true friends that I do have and although many of them live far away, I seem to be closer to all of them than the ones that live close by. There are so many people in my life that I think are just there to be nosey but my actual friends who care about my family, our well being, how we are doing on a day to day basis is very special to have. I enjoy having the few friends I do have and am blessed they are in my life! Love you all ♥

Day 13:
I'm thankful for my house and the lives that we live. We may not have the finest of finest things but the things we do have we enjoy and we appreciate them. Having a roof over our heads, air when its hot, and heat when its cold, is something that is not given to you. You have to earn it and maintain it and I'm very thankful for our cute little home.

Day 14:
I'm thankful for my baby bump. I never thought we would have another child after trying on and off for 3 years and then this bundle of joy came into our lives. I grew rather fast and now that I'm big enough to feel her move and kick me its an amazing feeling. I look down at my growing belly and just appreciate all that I have in life. Being a mother is the best gift in the world and the fact that I get to experience it again is GREAT! ♥

Day 15:
I'm thankful for Starbucks, yes that's right Starbucks lol I love their drinks and even thou I'm restricted to just hot chocolate these days the yumminess of a peppermint hot chocolate is yummm yummm good!! ♥

Day 16:
I'm thankful for the nice weather we have been having in November, I don't always time the time to look around outside and enjoy the sun or the moon but when I do its a great sight to see ans so relaxing. I'm hoping the nice weather continues on thru Ethan's birthday hehe

Day 17:
I'm thankful for me days! Day that I get to just have alittle me time without cleaning, or watching bubba or doing anything that involves being a mommy or wife, which I love doing both but sometimes its nice to just have time set aside for good ol' me. :) old pic but a goodie hehe

Day 18:
I'm thankful for sleep and the ability to sleep in! I love sleep and so does my whole family so every chance we get we sleep in. :)

Day 19:
I'm thankful for my creativity and the ability to take photographs, I am hoping I can continue my photographing and learn more and more as I go, after all I have the best model ever, Ethan!

Day 20:
I'm thankful for Criminal Minds Marathons. I love Criminal Minds and I can sit and watch them for hours even episodes Ive already seen. I think I know about every kind of serial killer out there lol

Day 21:
I'm thankful for my overall health. I may have back pain from time to time or headaches but as a whole I am one healthy 27 year old and I hope that I will continue to be healthy as I grow old.

Day 22:
I'm thankful that on this Thanksgiving day we all get to come together as a family and enjoy our time together, enjoy the good food we have prepared, and enjoy the memories we are making. Having Thanksgiving with Shauna's family is forever a tradition we have every year at our house and I feel so happy that we can all still come together and enjoy this day as a FAMILY! ♥

Day 23:
I'm thankful for date nights with my hunny. Occasionally we get to have alone time where Ethan spends the night somewhere and we enjoy ourselves so very much! This month we went to a glass show and to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles for dinner with our friend, Chris. He is very sweet and treats us like family already and we just love him. It was a great date with a great friend also and I'm thankful we get to have time together. ♥

 

 

Day 24:
I'm thankful for the ability to shop for Christmas presents and try to prepare for the up and coming holidays. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and I'm so excited to see everyone on Christmas. YAY for shopping!!

Day 25:
I'm thankful for my time with my little man decorating for Christmas and just overall being able to spend time with him and do things together that hell remember forever. ♥

Day 26:
I'm thankful for the help I get from my wife, family, and little man when I need it whether it be cleaning, shopping, etc. Its nice to have a helping hand at times.

Day 27:
I'm thankful for bacon! I love me some bacon, yummy!!

Day 28:
I'm thankful I have a car and can get up and go whenever I need to. I love our new car and In so thankful that we have paid off one car and now just can enjoy our new car. :)

Day 29:
I'm thankful for desserts, because I am pregnant I love desserts galore. I have a super sweet tooth anywhere from cookies, pies, cakes, donuts, etc.....I love it all!

Day 30:
Thankful that today is November 30th and I no longer have to think about all that I'm thankful for and just enjoy the things that I am thankful for each and every day....until next year  if you made it thru all 30 days I'm thankful you continued to read on hehe
