Month 4

4th month oh yessssss moving right along and I'm loving it. This month should be rather fun as we will be finding out the gender and I believe I will start to feel baby more this month. I just cant wait!!!

13 weeks-
The start of a new beginning possibly more energy, less nausea, and feeling better......or so I hoped lol This week has brought on the new term to headaches :( I usually have a headache approx 2-4 times a week now and they are thank goodness not migraines but to have a headache this much all the time is not fun. I have started feeling baby more alittle more mostly at night but it seems to be on a regular basis now :) We started using the doppler a lot more which is amazing, hearing the baby's heartbeat is such a reassuring thing and makes me feel so much at ease. We listen to it 2 times a day and the baby is usually in the 155-165 bpm range which suggested "girl" hehe we have 2 more weeks until we can find out the gender. yay!!! I am eating meat a lot more and have had a few Mexican dishes I however have trouble cooking ground beef/turkey still it disgusts me lol I am having less nausea but have gotten a few nights of real bad indigestion and heartburn.

14 weeks-
The golden week!! The week we get to hopefully find out the gender if baby cooperates and shows us the goods this weekend! I will be posting a separate post before this one is actually posted about the day we went to discover the gender so if you are reading this then you probably already know what were having :) I called the doctor today to schedule out NT scan(down syndrome) and apparently because I'm a healthy woman under 35 and have no history of down syndrome in our family my medical group believes its not medically necessary for me to have the ultrasound which kind of pisses me off but I do still get to do the 2 different blood test, the 1 of which Ive already done, so that's alittle bit of reassurance I guess. I'm still having headaches quite frequently and still feeling like crap majority of the time but I still wouldn't trade it for the world. If it wasn't for the headaches and the nausea at night I think Id feel amazing! :) Baby likes to kick the doppler now so when we hear the heartbeat we also get to hear different movements of the baby!!

15 weeks-
This week has actually been quite good minus my back pain that I think I ended up doing to myself because I decided it would be good to clean and move things around in the house not such a good idea because its now Wednesday and I'm still in pain. I have had the occasional headache but mainly at night when I'm getting tired. I feel my belly growing more and Ive been experiencing a few round ligament pains which aren't to bad until I cough or sneeze then they are kinda sharp. I have also felt the baby more this week that last week mainly in the morning after I eat breakfast or if I am bending over into her space lol I think there might be good weeks in the future I hope :) yay!!!

16 weeks-
I now have pretty much no nausea at all but I am still constantly stuffed up and nasally its not the best thing in the world but its manageable. I have also been having headaches about once a day sometimes I can go a day without one but I think its due to the nasal congestion for sure. I have been feeling McKenzie a lot more lately mainly in the morning after breakfast and at night once I'm relaxing, still no major kicks mainly just tumbles hehe. I had another appointment this week more on that in the next post. My belly is def growing that's for sure and I'm beyond excited to be moving into month number 5 next week yay!!! Overall this has been an uneventful week which I like :)

Body Changes-
I have gained a total of about 15-20lbs which scares me a little but it seems to be all in my belly, boobies have gotten a little bigger but not much and the tummy is definitely poking out all the time lol

Baby Progress-@ 16 weeks-
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double her weight and add inches to her length. Right now, she's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. Her legs are much more developed, her head is more erect than it has been, and her eyes have moved closer to the front of her head. Her ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of her scalp has begun, though her locks aren't recognizable yet. She's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, her heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
