March for Babies!!

March of Dimes is something that is very near and dear to us because of Ethan being premature and how much they donate to the hospitals for preemie babies. Every year March of Dimes does a walk called March for Babies where different corporations, and family teams come together to gather donations and to do a walk within the community. This year was the very first year we participated because I wanted to wait until Ethan was old enough to understand a little bit but also so he would be able to handle the all day events. I created our Team which was named Leader of the Pack because that's what Ethan's NICU Dr. use to call him however next year I think we'll stick with Team Williams but I don't know yet. We set our goal to $50, we reached that in no time, so I increased it to $100. We missed our mark by $5 but was still SOOOOO very grateful for everyone that was able to donate to such a great cause. Next year and the years to follow I plan to increase my goal a little so we can contribute more and more each year. The walk started at 8:30 am where myself, Shauna, Ethan, Angela & Taylor, as well as Taylor's little brother Gage all walked and completed the 2 mile marker, we probably would have gone longer but we wanted to take it easy our first go around. I made T-shirts for us and Angela made a T-shirt for herself to show our support for preemies like Bubba & Evan. It was amazing the amount of people that show up for such a great cause in the High Desert. After the walk Ethan got to play a few carnival games as well as they catered free food to all that participated which included fruit, bagels, donuts, hot dogs, chips, cake, water, soda & Starbucks. Ethan enjoyed the food, mommies passed because we are eating healthy. They also let Doves go at the beginning ceremony in remembrance of all of our lost angels that didn't quite make it whether they were stillborn, miscarried, or lost after birth :'( Overall I definitely enjoyed myself and we will continue to do the March for Babies for many more years to come!!!
