So yesterday I decided that I would take Ethan to the park for a little bit while Shauna was at work, and even though it was hot and kind of humid we were going to go for a little while. We got there and like always mommy wanted to take a few pictures, so we went over to the monkey bars, he sat down and we took a couple pictures. Afterward I went back over to the bench and Ethan started telling me "Mommy, I'm going to do it", "Mommy, I'm going to jump" at this time I told him no, its alot farther than you think and if you jump you will get hurt (he wanted to jump off the monkey bar ledge cause he isn't strong enough to do the monkey bars yet) I continued to tell him no, as he continued to tell me he was going to do it. I said "No Bubba you will hurt yourself go play on the slide." I turned around took a drink of my water and then BAMMM down he went....he fell off just like mommy had said. :( I ran over there picked him up made sure all of his limbs were moving and nothing was broken, he said his hip hurt so I looked at it where he had a bruise instantly from hitting the side of the standing spot. His head had a small cut on it from the wood chips on the ground. We went over to the bathroom cleaned him up, I asked if he wanted to keep playing he said yes but when he found out I had no band aids for his head he said he wanted to leave :( we went home cleaned him up and before long he already had the start of a scab. He later told me "I should have listened to you" poor bubba
Later that day a rainstorm came suddenly and as soon as the big part settled down and it was just raining now, I convinced Ethan it was fun to play in the rain and I went out there with him once, Star went out with him a few times and he thought it was so fun to run in the rain and get all wet. He had a blast!! It was definitley a memory to remember playing in the summer rain with my little boy!! xoxo ♥
