HE SLEPT IN HIS ROOM!!!

So alittle background as to him being in his room again finally is.......up to 2 yrs old he had always slept in his own crib/toddler bed since he was transitioned from his bassinet as a baby, well at 2 he decided he was afraid of the dark and wanted in our room. He first started in our bed with us in the middle then he slept in his toddler bed but in our room usually coming into our bed in the middle of the night, then back into our bed when I put his bed back in his room.

OK now about 2 wks before his birthday we started telling him when he turned 4 he was going to be a "big boy" and sleep in his own room, well after his birthday I let him stay in our room cause I'm such a sucker and I love to cuddle with him, until now! We decided last night that its time!!! We went and bought him special blackout curtains and at bedtime put him in his own room in his bed with a movie & a sleep timer. He slept in there all night until 730am and then came to cuddle with us! Yay!!!! So on 1/3/12 he did it, since then its now 1/9/12 he has slept in there every night! He has a few times cried but only for a few minutes then understood that he's a big boy now, he also tried 2x to come into our room in the middle of the night cause he thought the street light was the sun lol my crazy kid :-) I am sooooo very proud of him for being such a big boy and rising to the challenge of being alone in his room again the morning after his 1st night I went and bought him a congratulations present that included new jammies, a new bed set, and 3 new cars. He loves getting told how proud we are of him and I just knew he'd glow with an Im proud present :-) I love my little man, he's going up sooooo fast!!!
