I think migraines are the worst thing anyone can even have!!! I haven't posted much about my pain that I've been having in my neck & shoulder area nor have I discussed the way I have to talk to my phone to even post a blog because I am not able to type at this time however I did want to go into it a small bit because of my recent experience with my migraines!! So far I have been diagnosed with mild carpal tunnel syndrome, a 2mm disk bulge in my c4-c5 part of my spine and I have disc disruption. I am currently not receiving any kind of treatment besides pain pills & muscle relaxers; the pain I feel in my neck radiates and goes to my head causing me to have horrible headaches approx 3x a week!! This has put a huge damper in my everyday activities pretty much meaning they no longer exist, I am only able to get on Ethan's level and play with him about 30-60 minutes if its a good day :-( so least to say I am not a happy camper and I would like to be fixed!!
So this past week on wed I began feeling the headache pain that usually comes and I did the following as always: took pills, took a nap and took a bath well the headache went away for a few hrs then returned right before bed, I woke up Thursday with the same headache and I took 3 baths, a few pills, and even a 2 hr nap nothing was helping so I went to bed early.....well I woke up on Fri STILL with a migraine sensitive to all light, noise and smell; I decided at this tine I needed to go to the ER I was nauseous, dizzy, seeing spots and just feeling horrible. After being in the ER for over 6 hrs they gave me 3 shots-1 in my arm and 1 in each hip I started to feel slightly better. By bedtime I was headache free and really didn't have much pain in my neck or shoulder either. :-)
Saturday we even managed to go to dinner, just Shauna & I and it felt very very nice to be slightly normal. Its now Monday and my neck & shoulder pain are back in full effect but no headache yet! (Knock on wood) I am so scared to get one because I don't want to be in the ER again however I know my pain and when its intense as it usually gets a headache will come. :'-( Please pray the doctors actually find a cure for me because if I'm in thus much pain for the rest of my life ill be rather sad, of coarse life is much more rewarding than not being here at all however I would like to enjoy time with my son & my wife as well as be able to do NORMAL things again!!! Enough of my ranting and I never wish a migraine on anyone not even my worst enemy!!! :-( goodnight!!!
