17 weeks-
This week has been quite a challenge between my nasal drainage that seems to be making me nauseous sometimes to my back pain that makes me waddle and barely walk, to my headaches and emotions she loves to challenge mommy :) A couple days ago we were laying in bed and listening to her on the doppler like every night and I got a sudden urge to throw up it was horrible I had to turn over and lay right in front of the fan and had to have Shauna go get me some crackers so I would not get sick, this has been the 2nd time in all of this pregnancy that I have been so close to actually throwing up it wasn't fun. I have also been emotional this week crying over TV shows etc its quite funny to think that this time I'm super emotional and last time I was super bitchy lol I cant believe I am just 3 weeks away from the half way mark woohoo Angela & I also measured my belly this past Tuesday 11-13-12 and I am measuring almost 49 inches around which with the boys at 16 weeks 5 days I measured the exact same so even thou my belly looks so different from when I was pregnant with the boys I am still as big as I was when there was 2 babies in there, this should be interesting to see me grow the next 22 weeks before she is born. :)

This week has definitely proven to be the hardest of the 2nd trimester so far. I was super busy because it was Thanksgiving week and trying to prepare things but also Shauna was home for 9 days on vacation so things took a back burner so we could spend time together also :) She has been kicking me more often and I am able to feel her from the outside sometimes. Shauna & Angela have felt her one time this past weekend which was awesome for them to experience it. She usually moves around 2-4 times a day and usually after I eat. I have been having fewer headaches which is awesome but way worse back pain than usual. :( I usually have mild to severe back pain in the lower part of my back and doesn't matter if I do one thing around the house or town or millions I'm still in a lot of pain by the end of the day :( I also had my very first official throw up occasion, which by no means was fun in any way. It was on Thanksgiving and although I feel like I didn't eat that much by the end of the night I felt horrible, my stomach was very very bloated and I was beyond nauseous worse than ever even in the 1st trimester so by around 2am I was in the bathroom getting sick. :( It only happened that one time and after that I felt soooooo much better it was insane. So lets just say this week has been quite eventful and I'm glad to be moving on to week 19 lol

Things have gone back to normal this week and so far so good. McKenzie is moving like crazy and I cant not wait until next week when we are able to see her again, going a month without seeing her is driving me crazy lol I am still having trouble with the dumb insurance people to approve my referral to see the specialist so he can do my anatomy scan and watch me for the rest of my pregnancy because of the previous history with preterm labor however they still feel its not necessary to approve it so I'm still fighting it fun fun! I have been having some back pain and feeling a little run down this week I think my body is just trying to catch up from last week. We got to see McKenzie on Saturday she has grown so much in the last month its so cool, she was moving like crazy some of which I could feel and she loves to keep her hands by her face, she is still definitely a girl hehe :) I also had the insurance people call me for at least my OB ultrasound which is like an anatomy scan and its for next week Dec. 8th so we get to see her again on Monday Dec. 3rd at my regular OB appt and then for our scan yay!! Also every time we go to the 3D/4D place to see McKenzie like we did today they record the session for us and put it on a DVD since shes bigger now, I decided to share it as well :) see below under the ultrasound pics.

Well I'm moving on to a new month woohoo this week has been weird, as I have had no appetite really and can only eat about 2x a day before I feel overly stuffed and feel like getting sick. Ive also felt alot more movement, she usually kicks me about 4 times a day and its usually about 5-10 times at a time. I have been also feeling nauseous and having a headache a little more than usually which I don't like much lol but its all for this little princess. I had my Dr appt this week also and you can read up on that in the next post. I am so happy that I have 4 more weeks before we reach the point of viability which means so so much to us.

Baby Progress-@ 20 weeks-
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
