McKenzie's Baby Shower

Shauna's mom Lorrie, and sister, Angela decided a while ago that they wanted to plan our baby shower for us and I'm so beyond blessed they did. My brother in law, Mike helped so much also therefore I need to make sure he gets lots of kudos also. Because of all the hospital issues we weren't even sure if I was going to be able to make the baby shower and Shauna was going to have to go without me but God willing I was able to make it and SO GLAD I did!! The very first surprise that I had absolutely no idea bout was the arrival of my mom and my sister, Chloe, apparently everyone knew they were coming but me and they knocked on the door as we were getting ready to leave for the shower and surprised the S*** out of me. I was very shocked and happy to see that they made an effort to come and to surprise me as well. They brought Ethan some goodies too, toys and clothes which he loved. Now to the shower of a life time, literally!!! We arrived at the shower around 1230.Once we walked in we were speechless the decorations were amazing, the dessert bar was phenomenal there was cupcakes, a chocolate cake, cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate covered pretzels. Everything but the cake was hand made by Angela which makes it even more amazing. The food bar was just as yummy with subway sandwiches, potato salad, pasta salad, veggie trays, veggie pizza, spinach dip and chips. Then there was the present table which was decorated so cute and already had some gifts on it already :) Friends and family began to arrive and we ended up with about 20-25 people there so we had a really good turn out overall. Taylor ran the games, we only had 3 games but the guests had so much fun playing them it wasn't like all the old traditional boring long games it was fun to watch everyone having fun and enjoying themselves. Everyone dug into all the delicious food and desserts talked amongst themselves and everyone mingled nicely together. :) I of coarse loved present time and we were so blessed with all the things that we received. Some of the things that we got were clothes, hair bows, diapers, breast pump, lotions, bath tub, and so much more. Angela made us an amazing beautiful chest that had McKenzie's name on the top with ABC's around the bottom she painted it to match the bedroom and inside were so many cute outfits, and a couple lotions. We could not have expected what she had done for us and it was an amazing gift to receive. Lorrie got us something that was part of my favorite gifts of the day also. She got us two really soft blankets and had her name engraved in them both and one said "Grandma Loves McKenzie Rae" The shower was an absolute success and we are so so so very blessed to have the family and friend we have. We received so much love and generosity from everyone. WE ARE VERY VERY THANKFUL!!!
